All week long we anticipated the snow the weather forcasters predicted for Houston Thursday night/Friday morning. On Wednesday we experienced rolling blackouts at our school because too many people were using too much power (heat I guess). All of the schools in Houston (and many around the state) decided to close on Friday. We all woke up disappointed Friday morning when the snow never materialized. There was lots of ice on the roads so it was a good call for the city. Ultimately there were over 1000 crashes on the roads in a short period of time. (I can't imagine how high the number would have been if the city didn't shut down most things) We really enjoyed staying home all day and relaxing. The four of us did crafts projects and just enjoyed each other.
