sick
Wow...what a day....today was one of those days that I did not stop for 2 seconds, I kept getting stressed about all of the work I needed to get done, and the thing that kept going through my head was "man, I am working too hard"...I know that sounds like I have a big ego, but I don't...I just don't stop...maybe it is our generation....I certainly feel Generation X are go getters...we work hard, play hard, and work hard some more...we appreciate what we have even if we actually had a normal, middle class upbringing. Generation Y on the otherhand, I am worried about...First, many don't dress professionally for work (flip flops??)...they are smart, but many lack work ethic...they know they will always have their parents to fall back on because they have always had everything...cell phones, internet, etc...Anyway, enough rambling...
After a very long day my super sweet co-teacher offered to stay with a few kids to finish a test so I could leave around 3:45...she is the best co-teach ever!!!! She looks after the special ed kids and the regular ed kids...she knows all of their names (I know most) and can tell you small details about what they are missing, why they are missing assignments....I am truly blessed to have her this year. So as I was driving home I was playing the mind game "do I work out or just skip"..I decided to skip because I had a pain in my side all day...I was beat and we had a play date scheduled with one of our neighbors....As I was driving to the school, they called to say Sophia had a 102 fever..."great....that means it is my turn to take off...they can't come back for 24 hours"...Isabella was super disappointed we had to cancel the play date, but my friend has a 3 year old, 11 month old, and another little girl on the way...There was no way I wanted to get any of them sick...plus when I got home I started feeling really bad...I was trying to convince Dave I had appenditicis...(which I don't!!!)...I think I have just run myself down...so, tomorrow might actually be a good day to get caught up.
Sophia has pretty much been sleeping from the time she got home...she did eat the hamburger helper Dave made for dinner (spiked with lots of veggies!)...Isabella has been sweet and has been playing games on my phone....tomorrow she has ballet....Friday we are taking it easy (and Sat) and then Sunday at noon we have lots of people coming over to watch the Saints vs. Texans game...Dave is making his chilli and Christa is making her jambalaya....should be fun.....
