Losing it..

It's been 7 months and I've lost around 25 pounds. I know this doesn't seem to be much, but it has been a challenge.

I work out 5-6 days a week and watch what I eat. It is all good and I have 20 more pounds to lose. I'm grateful I can focus on myself and losing this weight/getting healthy!

Happy Valentine's Day

Things have been busy and crazy the last month. It is rare to have a day with nothing going on.
Finley is still obsessed with Frozen.
Dave and I took a fun beer bus tour with our friends. My phone got left on the bus so we had to drive an hour the next day to get it. The silver lining was that we got to stop at the Texas Independence monument.
Dave took the girls to a daddy daughter dance.
Sophia celebrated her 100th day of school.
I took all three girls to the zoo.
Sophia went to a sweet and sassy birthday party.

Happenings

Our life has been calm lately. We spend it mainly working out, going to work (Dave), and the girls going to school.
Finley's teacher thinks she is ready for pull-ups. She has used her potty here and there.
I hate having m&ms in the house because I eat them!
We met some old friends for lunch on Monday.

Taking The Plunge

This weekend was fun and busy. We watched the Texans lose in a very embarrassing play off game and the kids played with all of their new Christmas toys.
Today we went to the Towne Lake Swim team Polar Bear Plunge fundraiser. The neighborhood is just starting a team and Dave wants the girls to join it eventually. We can't do it this year because we will be gone three weeks in the summer.
When I signed up I thought we would causally just kind of walk in the lake. Nope, that's not how it worked. First, it was mostly men and we had to jump off of the dock into the lake.
The kids were the ones waking in the lake.
I was calm until the countdown when I realized I had to jump in a cold lake. My friend Anna saw my look of fright and grabbed my hand so we jumped together. It honestly was not that bad. After the initial shock, you just start swimming to the shore.
Later in the day we moved all the girls rooms around. We moved Finley into a big girl bed in Isabella's old room. We moved the twin beds into Sophia's room for Isabella and Sophia, and we moved Sophia's full bed into Finley's old room. We now have two guest rooms.
I ordered two twin memory foam mattresses on Amazon. The girls got a kick out of taking it out of the box and watching it expand.
Finley is obsessed with me giving her Elsa braids!
Finley and I matched on Friday.
I've been hitting it very hard at the gym. Have worked out 6 out of the last 7 days!

Finley Kathrine

- Such a fun 2 year old!
- Smiles more, but makes you work for it.
- Likes her sleep
- Is obsessed with chocolate milk
- Is an ok eater. Her favorite foods include peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, apple sauce, and ice cream
- She went through a phase where she didn't want to wear pants.
- During the winter months she is obsessed with her white boots.
- She will tell you proudly tell you her BFF is Charlotte Mary. They are truly Lavergne and Shirly
- The good news is that if either of them hit at Mother's Day out, they only hit each other.
- Finley loves ballet! She is so tiny, but one of the best in the class (or one of the best who listens to the teacher)
- She loves reading books with her mommy.
- She loves Sophia the First and has watched Frozen a million times.
- She has peed and pooped a couple of times, but is not really interested in potty training
- Of course I made the mistakes of buying pull ups, so when she finds them she will demand to wear them
- She takes naps about 50% of the time.
- She loves going to the playground
- She is my only daughter who will currently wear a bow and like it!
- She still wants to buckle her own car seat
- She will throw a screaming fit if you don't do it her way
- When she is serious, you can just see the wheels turning in her head. She is very smart
- She is very much a mamma's girl. She will spend every second that she can with her mom
- She loves to draw and play with her sisters.
- She loves her talking Cookie Monster
- She repeats everything Charlotte and her other friends say.
- She is very calm. She does not run around and get into messes like many of her friends.
- She is a little class clown. She's not as obvious as her sister, her's is more undertoned
- She loves taking baths
- She can count to 10, sing the ABC song, and sing twinkle twinkle
