Galveston here we come...

The girls and I planned to go to the Sand Castle Cometition in Galveston for the first time ever. Dave decided to stay behind because he had a million things to do. (he changed the doggy door to a regular one, waited for sprinkler system repair people, etc., etc.)...so the plan was to meet at Christa's apartment at 11:30. We did that, Brad made us sandwiches to eat and then we were off....The drive was soooo long...we made it to Galveston at 3pm...Good thing the girls napped in the car. We were glad we went. It was fun. It was hot and sandy, but Brad bought lots of cold drinks for the kids. I decided to treat reciprocate and buy the kids ice cream. The sand castles were very cool. Interestingly enough, the first one we saw was from a wonderful Art Teacher at Christa's old school. The kids weren't allowed to participate in the competition because they weren't sponsored by a company. Sophia was super cool in her shades and hat. The girls were so good. All the kids were good. The sand castles were cool. We lasted 2 hours and then headed home...so tired, so dirty....Isabella informed me in the brown water she accidently peed on herself. Then, when we were about 30 minutes from the house, she HAD to go to the bathroom. I got off the interstate and took them into a gas station/burger king....they did not have shoes on...yes, we were those people...they were just too gross to put on and I thought I would carry them....
