San Francisco/Alcatraz

San Francisco was wonderful!!!  Thursday we woke up bright and early.   We headed to Mama's to eat breakfast but the line was too long.  Next time we will plan accordingly:)  We then headed over to the Alcatraz for the tour.  That was awesome!

Interesting things we learned about Alcatraz
- it closed around 1965
- inmates actually served at Alcatraz and were later released
- 5 men escaped and they never found out what happened to them
- children and wives lived on Alcatraz with their husbands who were guards
- it is a state park
